Corinthians settles salaries with cast and technical committee after delay

Corinthians settled, this Tuesday morning (12), the salary disputes with the cast and technical committee after late payment, according to information obtained by CNN Brasil.

In a serious financial crisis, the company was unable to make the payment last Thursday (7), the fifth working day of May and the scheduled date for carrying out the operation. Players and the committee were notified of the delay, and treated the scenario normally.

The delay was only between players and the committee. The remaining Timão employees received their full salary normally on the correct date.

Corinthians debt

Corinthians’ debt is around R$2.7 billion, an increase of around R$200 million compared to 2024, the first year of Augusto Melo’s management.

Timão closed 2025 with a deficit of R$143.4 million and net operating revenue of R$810.1 million. Of the total debt, around R$2 billion relates to the club, in addition to R$642 million in financing for Neo Química Arena.
