Boris Kollár had to lower his ears and admit it publicly: THESE are the words he was forced to say!

Former Speaker of the Parliament, leader of the non-parliamentary movement We Are Family Boris Kollár apologized to the police officer Ján Čurillo for the statement about the “Čurillo mafia”. He did so in a nightly status on the social network. According to him, the statements were not based on the truth. The court ordered him to make a public apology.

The apology related to statements from September 17, 2021, which were made at a press conference in the National Council of the Slovak Republic and which “impermissibly interfered with the personal rights of Ján Čurilla”. “These statements were not based on truth,” wrote Kollár.

At the same time, he pointed out that he respects the laws, as well as the decisions of any court. “Because if we start questioning this, we will not have democracy in Slovakia, but only chaos or anarchy,” referred Kollár to the margin of publication of his binding opinion.

The Regional Court in Bratislava decided on a public apology, as well as the payment of compensation for non-pecuniary damage of 50,000 euros and full compensation for the costs of the proceedingswhich did not comply with the defendant’s appeal and confirmed the judgment of the City Court Bratislava IV from a year ago. The latter complied with Čurillo’s lawsuit and acknowledged that Kollár’s statement from 2021 about the “Čurillo mafia” was a dishonor and attack on the good reputation of Čurillo and, indirectly, his colleagues from the former National Criminal Agency. At that time, Kollár’s defense attorney allowed the filing of an appeal.
