Willemstad – Dick Advocaat is back as Curacao national coach. Four and a half weeks before the opening game of the World Cup against the German national soccer team, the 78-year-old succeeded his compatriot Fred Rutten, who had only replaced him at the beginning of the year. Advocaat had withdrawn at the time to be able to look after his sick daughter. Rutten paved the way for Advocaat’s return on Monday by retiring.
