José Vitorino honored by Uniprofrutal for the legacy left to agriculture in Espírito Santo

Uniprofrutal – Union of Fruit and Vegetable Producers of the Algarve expressed its regret at the death of José Adriano Gago Vitorino, remembering him as a founding member and first president of the association.

In a statement, the management of Uniprofrutal highlights José Vitorino as “one of the most notable figures in public, business and associative life in the Algarve”, highlighting his contribution to the economic, agricultural and social development of the region.

The association also says that the former person in charge was a “Man of vision, causes and action”, leaving “an indelible mark on several institutions and structuring projects for the Algarve”.

Association recalls role in the horticultural sector

According to Uniprofrutal, José Vitorino had “a decisive role in the organization and affirmation of the Algarve fruit and vegetable sector”, defending producers in the region and the valorization of Algarve agriculture.

The management also highlights the former director’s commitment to creating “strong associative structures, capable of representing and promoting the interests of the Algarve”.

“In this moment of pain and consternation, the Board of Directors pays tribute to its founding partner, remembering with gratitude his legacy, his strategic vision and his permanent commitment to the Algarve region and its farmers”, the statement also states.

The association also presented “the most heartfelt condolences” to the family, friends and everyone who deprived and worked with José Vitorino.
