The minister of the (Federal Supreme Court) opened a confidential preliminary investigation into amendments intended for the producer of the film “Dark Horse” (“Underdog”), about the former president.
The film is at the center of the wear and tear of the senator’s (-RJ) pre-candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic, after audios in which he asked the former banker to finish the work.
Deputies from the government base had already represented the STF in March so that Dino could investigate suspected deviations in parliamentary amendments aimed at NGOs and cultural projects.
After the Flávio case came to light, the deputy (-SP) complemented the request, reporting conduct by deputy Mário Frias (PL-SP) that, according to her, would fit into the same suspicion of irregularity.
Frias is mentioned as a possible intermediary in the procedures with Vorcaro. He denies that the transfers are related to the film and says that the funds were for “social projects duly structured and supervised by federal agencies”.
The contributions under investigation are authored by Frias and two other PL parliamentarians: deputy Bia Kicis (PL-DF) and deputy Marcos Pollon (PL-MS). Everyone has already been summoned by Dino to formally manifest themselves.
the production company Go Up has links with a network that has already been supplied by amendments from PL deputies and a contract with the city council in management ().
The information contrasts with the allegation of Flávio Bolsonaro, who in public statements emphasized that the financing of the film was about his father’s life and political trajectory.
Tabata and deputy Pastor Henrique Vieira (-RJ) claim that there was a misuse of purpose and non-compliance with the STF decision, which provides for strict transparency and traceability criteria in the execution of amendments.
According to Pollon’s office, the parliamentarian’s amendment, worth R$1 million, was redirected to an oncology institution and “there was no allocation of resources for any purpose other than that formally presented in the projects.”
Kicis states that the amendment passed by her, of R$ 150 thousand, is also not related to the film, but to a project of a cultural and educational nature, aimed at valuing national history and strengthening the creative economy.
