We will probably have to wait for the summer weather. According to the current forecast of Polish meteorologists from (IMGW), temperatures will remain below the long-term average until mid-June. The prospects for the beginning of the meteorological summer in Central Europe do not yet promise high temperatures.
We can expect during the first week of June average daily temperatures at the level of 16 °C. In practice, this means that while at night they can drop to 8 °C, during the day they rise to a maximum of 20 °C. Next week will bring only a very slight warming. The average temperature will increase to around 18°C, with daytime highs expected to reach 22°C and nighttime lows remaining at 9°C.
In addition to colder air, we are also plagued by wet weather. According to meteorologists, both weeks will be above average in terms of precipitation, with weekly precipitation in the range of 15 to 20 mm. The probability that it will rain at least 10 mm is high, up to 70%. A chance of heavier rains exceeding 20 mm is currently estimated at 40 to 50%.
Similar weather probably awaits us until the end of May. In their long-term forecast, experts do not assume that it would maximum temperatures exceeded the limit 21 °C, as the daily average will stay at 16 °C. Especially during the 21st calendar week (in the period from May 18 to 24) above-average precipitation days are expected. So, if you were hoping for an early onset of stable summer weather, rain will probably cross your plans in May.
