PT-DF closes nomination to the Chamber and tries to reach an agreement with PCdoB – 05/16/2026 – Panel

With an eye on the dispute for the Government of , the -DF closed this Saturday (16) the nomination with the pre-candidates for which the party is betting on 2026.

Among them are the former secretary of Legislative Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, Marivaldo Pereira, and Vanessa Bicho Negrini, defender of the animal cause.

Due to their role in the federal government, the three names are seen as possible vote-pullers in October.

The list, however, is not completely closed. This is because PT has the right to send five names, but closed on seven competitors. The bet is to close an agreement to obtain the two PCdoB vacancies –

The PCdoB does not have viable names for the election today and, if it grants the seats in the Chamber, it could be compensated. One option is to replace the federal deputy, (-SP), who will run for the Senate. The party demanded the vacancy, but disputed with PSOL.

Behind the scenes, a possible vice-president for Leandro Grass, pre-candidate for local government, is still being discussed. The name, however, needs to add votes to the ticket.

Grass is looking for a woman who can dialogue with sectors where the PT has more difficulty, such as business or churches.

The nomination was sent to the National Executive, which will have the final say. If there is no negotiation with the federation’s parties, the DF Executive will have to give up two names on the list.
