Perinbaba is once again in office in the High Tatras. Looking at the footage from the mountains, it looks like real winter is back. This is also proven by the video from Zbojnícká chata, which was published on Instagram by the tatry_official profile.
“We are reporting an extraordinary situation… Spring did not come to work in the Tatras again. Plus 20 centimeters of fresh snow… and one was slowly looking for shorts. This weather normally doesn’t know what it wants to be anymore. Once April, once January and once Christmas.” commented admin generous white blanket.
While it snowed in high altitudes, rain with a total of 50 to 60 millimeters of precipitation can be expected in several locations in Slovakia on Sunday. It concerns almost the entire Žilina region and the districts of Kežmarok, Poprad and Brezno. A level one warning is in effect for the given areas until Sunday evening. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) informed about it on the website.
“This amount of precipitation represents a potential danger for human activities. The predicted amount and intensity of precipitation are common for the given time of year and areas, but may cause minor damage,” the meteorologists said. Stronger winds can also be expected in some places on Sunday. The first level warning was issued for districts in the Trnava, Nitra and Košice regions.
