Child prays for Neymar in the World Cup, and striker responds: “Everything will be fine”

The hope of seeing Neymar in the next World Cup received an unexpected and viral boost on social media this Sunday (17). In Fortaleza, little Bernardo moved internet users by saying a prayer asking for the striker to be called up to the Brazilian team.

During a moment in church, the boy directly quoted the Santos player in his prayer.

“Daddy in heaven, thank you for this day. Bless the pastor, this Church and may you, in the name of Jesus, amen!”, said the child.

The video was published by pastor Salomão Liberato Júnior and quickly spread across social media. The recording reached Neymar, who responded to the publication with a short message.

“Everything will be fine,” wrote the attacker, accompanied by emojis of prayer and emotion.

In the caption of the post, the pastor joked about the strength of the boy’s request and also sent a message to Carlo Ancelotti, coach of the Brazilian team. “Now Neymar is going to the World Cup! Every obstacle has fallen apart in this prayer. Laughter. Bóra, Ancelotti, take Neymar to the World Cup! Share this video until Neymar knows that there are children who are praying for him”, he published.

The final list of 26 players called up for the World Cup will be released this Monday (18), at 5pm (Brasília time), in Rio de Janeiro. Neymar appears on the pre-list and has a chance of being.
