Neymar: CBF asks the star for “clothes for the squad”

The CBF asked Neymar’s staff for the numbers for the production of “the squad’s clothing”.

The request sounds like an indication for the presence of one of the 26 players who will compete in the World Cup.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti announces the 26 squad this Monday (18).

After Santos’ 3-0 defeat to Coritiba this Sunday (17), .

The model for the players and the coaching staff will be produced and designed by designer Ricardo Almeida. The clothing will be used as a uniform for the trip to the United States, where Brazil will train and play in the first three matches of the World Cup.

The clothes

The historic partnership between Ricardo Almeida and the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) gains a new and sophisticated chapter. With the revelation of the sketches for 2026, the project reaffirms the meeting between Brazilian tailoring and a cosmopolitan vision, reflecting the current moment of renewal of the selection in terms of cuts and respective fabrics.

In a statement sent to the press, he mentions that the compositions were designed to create visual unity between athletes and the coaching staff, respecting the identity of each group.

The look of the coaching staff, for example, displays the rigor of classic tailoring, with two-button suits, impeccable white shirts and coordinated ties.

Meanwhile, for players, the highlight is the avant-garde character of the younger line, called RA2, where the pieces feature wide, deconstructed pants, accompanied by the caban — the key piece of the collection. Developed without internal structures or shoulder pads, the caban prioritizes comfort and movement, being complemented by exclusive Pima yarn t-shirts.

The cohesion of the set is sealed by the choice of raw materials and colors, in addition to the suede shoes: lace-up versions for the committee and moccasins for the players.

says that the big innovation for the edition is the introduction of the RA2 aesthetic, which connects the brand’s legacy to the desire for expression of modern athletes.

“The invitation to be together for the third time in a row was in line with the work we are doing on the brand’s new line, RA2. So, the intention was to create pieces that maintained the elegance and identity of tailoring, while incorporating proportions and deconstructing the formal technique”, he comments.

“All this, translating a contemporary language, connected to the profile of the players, who follow trends, consume fashion and use dressing as a form of personal expression. The result is the alignment between legacy, timelessness and innovation, without giving up elegance”, he adds.

To bring the project to life, an Italian cold wool of unique lightness was selected. The color is a spectacle in itself: a mixed tone that merges blue and green into a soft, grayish oil, conveying sobriety with a touch of freshness. Even the lining was customized to reflect this palette, reinforcing the visual identity that carries the coat of arms.

Even with this more fluid and stripped-down proposal, the essence of the brand remains untouched: each piece was custom-made, with the personal supervision of Ricardo Almeida, ensuring that technical precision and elegance follow the anatomy of each member of the team.
