Coach Carlo Ancelotti announced this Monday (18), at the Museum of Tomorrow, the 26 players called up for the Brazilian squad for the 2026 World Cup.
The list marks the beginning of Brazil’s official preparation for the tournament, with names from different generations and the maintenance of some squad leaders. Among those called up are players who play in European football and also in Brazilian football, making up the final group that will compete in the World Cup.
Ancelotti called up some surprises, such as Weverton, Grêmio’s goalkeeper, who had not yet been called up by the Italian coach. The Olympic champion goalkeeper reacted with a verse on his social network. However, other players also echoed his call.
Rayan, Bournemouth striker, celebrated with his wife, including swearing.
