The president (PT) was at the Sírio Libanês Hospital this Monday (18) to monitor a . On that occasion, he removed a lesion on his scalp — a basal cell lesion, a less serious and more common type of skin cancer.
According to the medical bulletin released early this Monday evening, the president is progressing satisfactorily, as expected, and without complications.
In April, after the procedure, the doctor accompanying the PT member said that the cancer was localized and had not metastasized.
This Monday’s bulletin, signed by doctors Sergio Samir Arap, deputy technical director of the hospital, and Álvaro Sarkis, clinical director, states that Lula maintains his usual activities and continues to be accompanied by the medical teams led by Kalil and Ana Helena Germoglio.
The president has commitments this Tuesday (19) in the capital of São Paulo. At 9:30 am he will visit stands for the program Se Essa Rua Fosse Minha, from the Ministry of Cities, in the Anhembi District. Shortly afterwards, he participated, in the same location, in the opening of the International Meeting of the Construction Industry.
In the afternoon, Lula will be present at the launch of a taxi drivers, at Casa Portugal, in Liberdade. Then, embark back to Brasília.
