According to Donald Trump, negotiations with Iran are balancing between an agreement and renewed attacks on Tehran. The American president talks about a quick agreement and preparedness for attacks.
US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that negotiations with Iran were “on the brink” between an agreement to end the war in the Middle East and renewed attacks on Tehran. The AFP agency drew attention to it, reports TASR.
“It’s right on the edge, believe me,” Trump answered when asked by reporters what stage the negotiations with Iran are at.
Trump warns Iran
“If we don’t get the right answers, it’s going to go very quickly. We’re all ready. We’ve got to get the right answers — they’ve got to be 100 percent good answers,” the president continued.
If Iran makes the deal, it will save “a lot of time, energy and lives.” In Trump’s words, this could happen “very quickly or (in) a few days.”
Fluctuating between peace and attacks
The US president announced this week that he revoked the order to resume attacks on Iran at the last minute at the request of the Gulf states to allow room for negotiations. According to AFP, it has since sent conflicting signals, oscillating between optimism about a deal and threats of further attacks.
