US and Iran have reached a preliminary version of an agreement, says Arab TV

The US and Iran would have reached the preliminary final version of the agreement during negotiations mediated by Pakistan this Thursday (21). The information is from Saudi Arabia’s state-owned international television news channel, Al Arabiya.

The information was also released by the Iranian news agency Ilna, which cited Arab TV. Neither country officially confirmed it until Thursday afternoon.

The draft document would provide for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire. The main point of controversy in the negotiations, the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, would also be included in the preliminary version.
