Washington – The opening of a new and larger US diplomatic mission in Greenland sparked protests on Thursday. Hundreds of people demonstrated in front of the consulate in the capital Nuuk, carrying the island’s red and white flag and holding placards reading “USA, stop this.” They chanted “No means no” and “Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders.”
