The US Embassy in Kiev issued a security alert this Saturday (23), warning that a “potentially significant air strike” could hit the city in the next 24 hours.
The U.S. diplomatic mission in Ukraine said in a statement aimed at U.S. citizens in the country that it had received information about a possible air strike of “major magnitude that could occur at any time in the next 24 hours.”
“The embassy, as always, recommends that American citizens be prepared to take shelter immediately if an air alert is issued,” the notice added.
The message was issued after Ukrainian President Volodmyr Zelenskyy warned that Russia was preparing to attack Ukraine with an Oreshnik hypersonic missile.
