About 20 people were injured on Monday at a shopping complex in central Tokyo, where a man sprayed an unknown substance. TASR informs about it according to the report of the AFP agency. A Tokyo police spokesman told AFP that the man sprayed the substance on the ATM on the ground floor of the building. Local firefighters said they received a report of an odor at the mall and about 20 people were injured.
Roads around the building in the Ginza business district were closed after the incident. According to information from the Japanese public broadcaster NHK, people’s injuries appear to be minor. An AFP reporter at the scene saw two people on stretchers being loaded into an ambulance while firefighters and officials dressed in protective suits took people from the mall to specialist vehicles to be examined.
