Real Time: Mitidieri and Valmir draw in the 1st and 2nd rounds for the SE government

The governor of Sergipe, Fábio Mitidieri (PSD), technically tied in both rounds with the former mayor of Itabaiana, Valmir de Francisquinho (Republicans), in the dispute for Palácio Olímpio Campos, according to research by the Real Time Big Data institute released this Tuesday (26).

Mitidieri scored 41% of voting intentions in the first round, against 38% for Francisquinho. The vice mayor of Aracaju Ricardo Marques (PL) appears with 5% of the votes, followed by Emanuel Cacho (PSDB), with 2%, and then by Dr. Helton Monteiro (Psol), with 1%.

Null and blank votes total 7%. 6% of those interviewed did not know or did not want to answer.

In the second round, Mitidieri and Francisquinho remain technically tied, with 44% and 41% of the votes, respectively. Null and blank votes amount to 9%, while 6% did not know or did not want to respond.

Methodology

1,600 voters in the state of Sergipe were interviewed between the 23rd and 25th of May. The margin of error is 2 percentage points, plus or minus, with a 95% confidence interval.
