Vienna – Labor Minister Korinna Schumann (SPÖ) sets a deadline for the social partners to implement the EU wage transparency directive. There should be an agreement next week, her ministry announced after a “constructive discussion” with the heads of the Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ), the Federation of Trade Unions (ÖGB) and the Chamber of Labor (AK) on Tuesday. If that is not possible, she wants to submit a draft herself and bring it into the government’s political coordination.
