Real Time Big Data: Ribeiro and Cícero draw in the 1st round for the government of Paraíba

Governor Lucas Ribeiro (PP-PB) and the former mayor of João Pessoa, Cícero Lucena (MDB-PB), are technically tied in 1st round simulations for the dispute over the government of Paraíba. This is what the survey by the Real Time Big Data Institute, released this Wednesday (27), points out.

In the projection, Lucas Ribeiro appears with 30% of voting intentions and Cícero Lucena, with 28%. The pre-candidates are followed by senator Efraim Filho (PL-PB), with 19%, and by Olímpio Rocha (PSOL-PB), with 2%. Blanks and nulls total 10%, while 11% did not know or did not want to answer.

The poll’s margin of error is 2 percentage points, plus or minus, which constitutes a technical tie between the first two pre-candidates.

In a possible 2nd round, Ribeiro opens up an advantage against Cícero and would be re-elected with 39% of voting intentions, against 34% for the former mayor. In this scenario, blanks and nulls total 13%, and 14% did not know or did not want to answer.

The current governor would also beat Efraim Filho in a direct clash. In this scenario, Ribeiro has 44% of voting intentions, against 26% of the PL pre-candidate. Blanks and nulls total 14%, while 16% did not want to or did not know how to answer.

To reach this result, the Real Time Big Data Institute interviewed 1,600 voters in Paraíba between May 25th and 26th. The research is registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under number PB-03748/2026.
