The Commission on Political Deaths and Disappearances (CEMDP), a State body linked to the Ministry of Human Rights, approved the report that concludes that the former president was murdered by the dictatorship, on May 7th.
The details will be known during a press conference this Friday afternoon (29) at the Federal Public Ministry in São Paulo, in which the president of the Special Commission on Political Deaths and Disappearances, the regional prosecutor of the Republic Eugênia Augusta Gonzaga, professor Maria Cecília Adão, rapporteur of the case, and federal deputy Natália Bonavides, member of the Commission, will participate.
According to the note published by the MPF, Maria Cecília Adão’s report approved by CEMDP concludes that JK “was killed by the dictatorship in 1976, disputing the conclusion at the time that he had been the victim of a car accident”.
