The senator (-RJ) countered PT’s speech about the criminal factions CV (Comando Vermelho) and PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital) as terrorists and sought to associate him with the defense of criminals.
Pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic for PL, Flávio criticized an excerpt referring to Brazilian factions as “our criminals”, during a speech in Sergipe, this Friday (29).
“Have you ever seen a president of the Republic treat members of the PCC and Comando Vermelho as ‘our criminals’?” he says. “‘Our criminals, Lula? No, you criminals. The sovereignty that we defend is the sovereignty of the Brazilian people, it is the sovereignty of the 50 million people who live under the rule of narco-terrorists.”
“A parallel government imposing violence, cowardice, fear. The Brazilian people can no longer stand to live in fear because of these types of people. And you choose to defend these criminals, instead of defending their victims, Lula? No, their time is running out and so is yours”, he concludes.
The Brazilian government diverges from the designation as terrorist groups due to legal and diplomatic understandings. Flávio, in turn, supports the classification and took this demand to the meeting he held with Donald Trump last week.
The president said that factions bother families, neighborhoods and cities. “They steal everything the people have, the people’s right to live freely. So they are terrorists and we are going to fight them here,” he stated.
Before that, Lula said:
“I am very sad today with the news that the Secretary of the United States of North America, a certain Marco Rubio, said that our criminals are terrorists and that the Americans can intervene. Why am I sad? Firstly because this so-called Comando Vermelho and this so-called PCC are terrorists for Brazilian communities, for Brazilian society, for the people on the outskirts of this country, they are terrorists. They bother families, neighborhoods, cities. They steal everything”, he declared.
“They are terrorists and we are going to fight them in here. They are not terrorists that Trump wants. What Trump wants is Osama Bin Laden. And we want the Brazilian terrorists who are there.”
