Copenhagen – Nothing happened for a long time, now the carcass of the humpback whale known as “Timmy” lying off the Danish island of Anholt is to be pulled ashore. It was initially unclear whether this would happen on Saturday or Sunday. The examination of the carcass is scheduled to follow next week. “Because the animal has been lying in the sun for so long, it will smell bad,” said whale researcher Peter Teglberg Madsen, who has been accompanying whale necropsies in Denmark for 25 years.
