The president of the PSD, confirmed that it can integrate the (PSD) as vice-president in the 2026 presidential elections. The confirmation came after the party president had his name indicated as a potential vice-president on a ticket “pura” of the caption, as o Poder360.
To this digital newspaper, Kassab stated that the definitive choice will only be made in July and that there is still the possibility of an ally being the final decision for the ticket. On his official profile on X, he : “I am available to listen and accept any collective decision, knowing in advance that it will be the best for the future of our project”.
“Even though I have already stated that a pure ticket candidacy could be a concrete hypothesis, I understand that many steps and understandings need to be completed, inside and outside our party, until a decision is made about the profile of our ticket”wrote Kassab.
The PSD president stated that the final word will be Caiado’s.
To the Poder360Kassab stated that the profile sought for vice will be what “better help him win the elections and then help him govern”.
This is not the first time that the leader’s name has been considered for a candidacy for vice president. Kassab signaled to allies that he could join a ticket headed by the governor of São Paulo, (Republicans), in a possible dispute for the Presidency. However, the governor maintained his decision to run for reelection in the state.
