The 2026 event, which begins this Monday (June 1, 2026), will bring together 2 ministers from the Federal Supreme Court, 11 from the Superior Court of Justice and 4 from the Federal Audit Court. 3 ministers from the PT government, 1 governor and 18 congressmen will also be present.

The event, which gained the nickname Gilmarpalooza in a play on the name of the Lollapalooza music festival, has established itself as one of the main meeting points of the establishment Brazilian. It has always been an opportunity for authorities to talk to businesspeople, lawyers and lobbyists about Brazil in Portugal.
In 2026, however, he wants to focus on broader and international themes. The theme of the 14th Lisbon Forum will be: “New international order, technology and sovereignty: democratic, economic and social challenges”. The idea is like the relationship between the president of the United States (Republican Party) and global conflicts.
The event is hosted by the dean (the oldest) of the STF, minister Gilmar Mendes. To the Poder360on Friday (May 29), the magistrate minimized the reduction in the number of authorities. He said he saw normality in an election year.

14TH LISBON FORUM
The event is held from June 1st to 3rd at . Its organizers are IDP (Brazilian Institute of Education, Development and Research), FGV Justiça and LPL (Lisbon Public Law Research Center).
IDP is a private higher education company founded in 1998, in Brasília, by Gilmar Mendes – at the time, it had 2 other partners: Inocêncio Mártires Coelho (who was Attorney General of the Republic from 1981 to 1985) and Paulo Gonet Branco, who is the current Attorney General of the Republic and will be at this year’s event. Both Inocêncio and Paulo Gonet left society.
The 14th Lisbon Forum is the High Patronage of the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, given by the Portuguese president to initiatives, events, congresses, projects or celebrations that are considered to be of special public interest, civic, cultural, scientific, social or economic relevance for Portugal.
It is not about providing financing or material support. It is a seal of recognition and institutional prestige.
The distinction, according to the Gilmarpalooza organization, “recognizes the institutional, academic and civic relevance of the event, as well as its contribution to strengthening democratic debate and reflection on contemporary challenges faced by Portugal, Brazil and the international community”.
