Austrians like to shop a lot online and will have driven sales in online retail to a new all-time high in 2025. Gross sales rose sharply by 9.5 percent to 11.5 billion euros, according to a survey by the Institute for Austrian Economics (iföw) on behalf of the WKÖ federal trade division. People prefer to shop at Amazon, Temu and Zalando, and there was particularly strong growth in care products, food and fashion.
