Buzzi case: STJ schedules testimony from victims and witnesses – 06/01/2026 – Brasília Hoje

The (Superior Court of Justice) against the minister of the court scheduled the testimony of the two victims for June 11th. He all suspicions.

In a statement, the STJ minister’s defense stated that, in total, he nominated 30 people to speak to the commission and that those chosen “will certainly be able to elucidate the truth of the facts.” The statement also says that the defense “will act with serenity, responsibility, with respect for the institutions and people involved.”

There are two accusations of a sexual nature against Buzzi. The first was made in January by the daughter of a couple of friends of the minister, who said she had been grabbed while swimming in the sea on the coast of Santa Catarina. The second worked for the magistrate.

A conviction in the STF for the crime of sexual harassment could lead to imprisonment and loss of funds.

In the case of the administrative process, a recent decision by the First Panel of the Supreme Court should change the maximum punishment that can be applied to Marco Buzzi. Last Tuesday (26), the collegiate ministers decided on paid leave.

The judges were unanimous in maintaining the decision that determines that serious infractions by judges are punished with the loss of their position.

Below this, the STJ magistrate may face a warning or censure.
