Dark Horse Case: Tarcísio defends police autonomy – 06/02/2026 – Politics

The governor (Republicans) stated this Tuesday (2) that the Police have the autonomy to carry out their investigations, one day after the operation with searches at addresses linked to the producer of the film “”, which deals with the life of (), and in a secretariat at São Paulo City Hall.

The previous day’s police action was criticized by the mayor of the capital of São Paulo, (), who spoke of “political persecution”.

The senator and PL’s pre-candidate for the Presidency, also suggested that the operation could be part of a “state persecution” by some sectors to “influence the elections” and cast doubt on the actions of “parts” of the Civil Police.

“The police operation is something in which we do not interfere,” said Tarcísio, in Rio Claro, in the interior of São Paulo.
