The governor (Republicans) stated this Tuesday (2) that the Police have the autonomy to carry out their investigations, one day after the operation with searches at addresses linked to the producer of the film “”, which deals with the life of (), and in a secretariat at São Paulo City Hall.
The previous day’s police action was criticized by the mayor of the capital of São Paulo, (), who spoke of “political persecution”.
The senator and PL’s pre-candidate for the Presidency, also suggested that the operation could be part of a “state persecution” by some sectors to “influence the elections” and cast doubt on the actions of “parts” of the Civil Police.
“The police operation is something in which we do not interfere,” said Tarcísio, in Rio Claro, in the interior of São Paulo.
Operation Wi-Fi carried out eight search and seizure warrants at the residential and commercial addresses of Karina Ferreira da Gama, owner of the film’s producer, Go Up Entertainment, and at companies associated with the ICB (Instituto conhecimento Brasil), a social organization also chaired by her.
