Mexico City – A week before the start of the World Cup, teacher protests are escalating in Mexico. Protesters armed with broken lantern poles stormed the headquarters of the Ministry of Education in the capital Mexico City on Wednesday (local time). According to eyewitnesses, demonstrators vandalized a guardhouse and broke windows. It was shown on television that a fire had also broken out.
