It will not rain much in Slovakia in the next few hours. Precipitation activity will fade in central Slovakia, and in the course of the afternoon, new showers will probably form in the eastern half. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) informs about it on the social network.
“On Thursday morning, a frontal interface is still rolling over the territory of Slovakia and will bring a lot of clouds and precipitation, especially over central Slovakia,” meteorologists said. In the west and east of Slovakia, there is less cloud cover and it gradually decreases, precipitation stops. Their intensity is mostly at the level of weak, rarely mild rain. “In general, it can be said that this front is losing its prominence and is disintegrating over our territory,” explained SHMÚ.
Until now, in the last 24 hours in Slovakia, mostly five to ten millimeters of rain fell, only occasionally more than 30. The highest total is observed by the SHMÚ in the village of Tesárske Mlyňany.
On Friday (June 5), another cold front will move into Slovakia from the west, but it will again lose its significance here. In most of the territory it will fall again only to five millimeters, there will also be places where precipitation does not occur and only exceptionally it will exceed ten millimeters.
