Pasqual and Shehorn first met in 2023 while working on a film Rebel Moon. The American actor played a minor uncredited role in it, while the ex-partner worked as a make-up artist. In the following months, the pair were a couple and there was no sign of any problems.
That changed just days before the fatal attack, when police arrested Pasquale for domestic violence against his partner. Make-up artist Shehorn was left with visible scars on her neck and arms after the attack and suffered extensive injuries, including partial loss of vision and loss of feeling in her hands.
In her testimony, she described several cases of abuse and revealed that she was helped by a friend who found her and called an ambulance. The actor ended up in custody, but a few hours later he was released on $50,000 bail.
After that incident, Shehorn filed for a restraining order because the actor threatened her. Despite this, Pasqual broke into the make-up artist’s house in the early hours of May 23, 2024 and stabbed her up to 20 times. Police issued a warrant for his arrest and finally apprehended him days later as he tried to flee to Mexico. Meanwhile, Allie Shehorn underwent a 14-hour operation in which doctors saved her life.
Investigators charged the actor with attempted murder, housebreaking, armed assault and bodily harm. At the end of April of this year, the trial began, in which Pasqual insisted on his innocence. However, the judge ultimately sentenced him to 32 years to life in prison.
