Putin says Russia is ready to make concessions for peace deal with Ukraine

Russia’s president told reporters that he had the resources to achieve his military objectives and that his troops were advancing into Ukraine, but was prepared to reach a peaceful agreement with Ukraine.

SAINT PETERSBURG, June 4 (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that United States President Donald Trump had asked Russia to make some concessions for a peace deal with Ukraine and that Russia was ready to do so as long as Ukraine did the same.

Putin told reporters in St. Petersburg ⁠that ​Russia had all the ⁠resources to ​achieve its military objectives and ​that its troops were advancing into ⁠Ukraine, but was prepared ⁠to reach a peaceful agreement with Ukraine.
