“Sustainable nuclear energy means greater energy security, less greenhouse gas emissions, more independence” – this was emphasized by the Italian Environment Minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin on Thursday in the large chamber of parliament. At a time when demand for electricity is increasing rapidly, those countries that produce their own energy are free and strong. The government’s goal is also to reduce energy prices for families and companies in the medium term. The planned construction of small and modern next-generation nuclear reactors makes this possible, said Pichetto Fratin. The framework law was approved by the Chamber of Deputies with 155 votes to 86.
