A train collided with a truck in the Czech Republic, eight people are reported injured

All emergency services intervened at the scene of the train accident.

A traffic accident occurred in the Czech Republic on Friday morning. A passenger train crashed into a truck between Prostějov and Kostelec na Hana. All emergency services were on the scene.

“26 people were traveling in the crashed train, including the staff, and the driver was in the truck. Together with the rescuers, we sorted around 20 people, 8 were injured in the end,” informed the Olomouc firefighters. They also assisted in moving the injured to ambulances.

They ensured that there was no fire at the site of the intervention. The railway firefighters should already take care of re-tracking the train and removing the wreckage of the truck from the railway top. They will probably use cranes for this.
