Huge fear of the royal family: The princess was added to the waiting list for a lung transplant!

Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit has been placed on the waiting list for a lung transplant after her health deteriorated significantly, the royal office announced in its statement on Friday. TASR informs about it according to the report of the AFP agency.

  • Norwegian Crown Princess Mette Marit was placed on the waiting list for a lung transplant.
  • He suffers from a rare form of pulmonary fibrosis causing breathing difficulties and limitations.
  • He appears publicly on oxygen support due to worsening chronic lung disease.
  • Oslo University Hospital previously announced a probable future lung transplant for her.
  • Marius Borg Höiby’s son faces charges of rape with a verdict on June 15.

In 2018, the princess was diagnosed with a rare form of pulmonary fibrosis, which causes her breathing difficulties and repeatedly forces her to limit her duties. Recently, she appeared in public with oxygen support.

“As a result of her life-threatening chronic lung disease and after thorough medical examinations, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette-Marit has been placed on the waiting list for a lung transplant,” the palace stated.

Oslo University Hospital said in December that the princess will probably need a lung transplant in the future, but at that time it was not yet included in the Norwegian list of potential beneficiaries. Crown Prince Haakon said earlier in the week that her health has worsened and that she has more difficulty breathing.

Mette-Marit has been the wife of the heir to the throne since 2001. In recent months, she has also been in the spotlight for her previous contacts with the American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as well as for the problems with the law of her son Marius Borg Höiby, who is accused of rape. The verdict in this case is expected on June 15.
