Australian pilot, friend of Mick Schumacher, was accused of having raped a nurse who took care of Michael Schumacher.
A German court acquitted the Australian pilot Joey Mawson of the accusation of violation of a nurse at Michael Schumacher’s house.
Joey, 30, was accused of raping a nurse specializing in respiratory care and neurorehabilitation, who cared for the former Formula 1 champion.
The case dates back to the early hours of November 2019, at the Schumacher estate in Gland, on the shores of Lake Geneva.
The nurse, who cried after hearing the court’s decision, said she was with Joey and a physiotherapist in the pool room. They drank alcohol.
He reported that it was taken by the two men and raped while she was unconsciousafter having drunk too much.
He accused Joey Mawson, a friend of the champion’s son, Mick Schumacher.
The indictment stated that no member of the Schumacher family was present during the alleged incident. I wanted 4 years in prison.
But now the court found that there was no evidence.
The newspaper reported that this verdict “caused widespread misunderstanding” in court.
After the announcement, Mawson’s lawyer said: “It’s a fair verdict; he can finally make plans for the future now that his name has been cleared.”
Mawson, who has been banned from racing for three years in 2023 for dopinginsisted that the sexual relationship was consensual. And now he has even appeared in the process as an “electrician”.
