Former Slovak tennis player Dominika Cibulková has been in the center of unwanted attention in recent months. They are going through a difficult divorce with Michal Navar, and the “fit drink” case has recently been added to that. The difficult period reflected on the mother of two’s approach to diet and exercise. “I just coughed a little on it. I wasn’t in the mood for it, but that has already changed,” she declared back in March.
Divorce is behind the weight gain. “The stress of the last few months has really taken a toll on my weight. And yes, I’ve gained weight. And you know what? It’s okay, because we’re women and not machines, and our bodies react differently to each period,” admitted Dominika, saying that what one does afterwards is important.
“I decided to take my energy back. I challenged myself to get back into shape. Not for others, but for my own feeling. Because it’s never too late to start over. Either in life or in fitness,” she confessed on Instagram.
The office lit up about the ad
Cibulková documents her progress on social networks, where she also shows exercises and promotes her nutritional supplements. It’s not the only ad you’ll find on her profile. The former tennis star published a video promoting a Slovak brand of alcohol. In the article, she called vodka with juice a “fit drink”, for which she received a huge amount of criticism, and the Advertising Council also considers it extremely problematic.
In the meantime, the verdict has already been given. “Therefore, the Commission in accordance with Art. In paragraph 2 letters a) The order appeals to the advertiser, who is called upon to change or modify the assessed advertisement and to prevent its further dissemination in the form in question.” it is stated in the published decision.
Even though it would seem that the case is over, its shadow still hangs over Cibulková. This is proven by the sharp comments that appeared under the video where the blonde is exercising. “I’ve been doing it for 3 months now and I’m starting to feel fit again,” he enjoys his successes. Some of the commenters praise her, but some let her “eat up” the mentioned case again. „Vodka,“ written by Maroš. “Only on a day off,” responded Cibulková. “You can already see your fit vodka on that belly,” another follower took on the former athlete. This comment has since disappeared from Instagram, and we can only guess whether it was removed by Cibulková because it touched her, or by the author herself.
