Israeli attacks kill more than 20 people in Lebanon, state media says

At least 21 people were killed in Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon on Friday, according to a tally by the CNN based on data from NNA (Lebanon National News Agency).

The total includes a municipal council member in Sidon, two Syrian children who were on a motorbike with their father in Nabatiyeh and a paramedic in the nearby town of Zebdine, NNA reported, adding that the latest attack targeted an ambulance trying to deliver bread to a family subjected to a military siege.

“Attacking paramedics during rescue operations is an act that constitutes a barbaric violation of international humanitarian law,” the Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement condemning the Israeli attack on Zebdine.

A CNN reached out to the Israeli military for comment.
