Vienna – From June 14th, jam in all fruit varieties can be called this again in stores. EU law previously stipulated that only products made from citrus fruits could be called “jam”, everything else had to be labeled as jam. This is changing with the so-called “EU Breakfast Directive”, which was recently incorporated into national law and will come into force in the middle of the month. The law also brings innovations for the marketing of honey.
