Former secretary of Social Assistance in the city hall and in the state government, Filipe Sabará () will run for state deputy in the election.
A businessman with strong ties to Faria Lima, he was responsible in recent months for introducing the senator (PL) to financial market executives.
Sabará held positions in the (PSDB) administration at city hall and in the government, and was also part of the (Republican) administration.
In 2020, he tried to be a candidate for mayor of the capital for Novo, but was forced to give up after a conflict with the party. Four years later, he supported () for mayor.
Sabará makes no secret of the fact that his political project involves being elected state deputy in 2026 to try to be accredited for mayor in 2028.
According to him, in a possible mandate he would transform into laws projects that he implemented when secretary in the area of social assistance, but which were not continued. He cites an action to provide jobs for homeless people, which he implemented at city hall.
“A legal basis is needed for these programs to continue,” says Sabará. Other priorities of his mandate, he says, would be land regularization, promoting entrepreneurship in needy communities and attracting capital from Faria Lima to finance projects on the outskirts.
