Brazilian musical production continues to expand its economic and cultural weight in the country. Data from , an association that brings together the main record labels and music producers, show that the sector recorded revenue of R$3.958 billion in 2025, an increase of 14.1% compared to the previous year, driven by the advancement of streaming and the expansion of digital consumption.
With this performance, Brazil consolidates itself as one of the relevant markets in the global music scene, highlighting the strength of a chain that mobilizes artists, producers, technicians and companies on different fronts of the creative economy.
This dynamism is also reflected in initiatives that combine recognition, training and development. It is in this context that it reaches its 33rd edition as one of the main platforms for valuing musical production in the country. The 2026 ceremony takes place on June 10, at the Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together finalists from 18 categories.
Among the nominees are artists such as Daniela Mercury, João Gomes, Jorge Aragão, Maneva and Ana Castela, names that reflect the aesthetic and generational plurality of contemporary Brazilian music. The ceremony will honor Cazuza, reaffirming the dialogue between memory, legacy and renewal that marks the award.
Award combines recognition and training
More than recognizing established trajectories, the award has become a space for integration between artists, the public, the market and new talents.
By associating your brand with the initiative, it reinforces a strategy that connects culture, performance and development, consolidating its positioning as a partner in the creative chain and expanding its presence as the bank of Brazilian music.
Just like in sport, the bank associates its activities in music with values present both in the construction of artistic careers and in its vision of supporting long-term trajectories. The proposal is to act at different stages of the musical ecosystem — from consecrating big names to encouraging the next generation of artists.
Among the fronts that reflect this commitment is the Musical Incubator, an initiative aimed at the professionalization of artists in the career consolidation phase.
The program offers mentoring, training and specialized support, helping new talents to expand their technical repertoire, strengthen their career management and find better conditions for insertion in the market. With this, the award expands its impact beyond the gala night and starts to act directly in the formation of the future music scene.
According to André Kliousoff, CMO of BTG Pactual, the proposal is to strengthen the sector in a structured way. “The Award plays a fundamental role in ensuring that the country’s creative power continues to find space to grow and generate impact. As the bank of Brazilian music, we believe it is important to act in a structured way throughout the chain, from valuing emblematic legacies, such as Cazuza’s, to investing in the new generation through initiatives such as the Musical Incubator.”
Broadcast on YouTube expands connection with the public
BTG Pactual’s presence at the event also translates into digital experiences and initiatives that connect different players in the music industry. In addition to broadcasting the ceremony, the brand maintains a dedicated presence on Instagram, with real-time coverage, behind-the-scenes, interviews and exclusive materials throughout the different stages of the award, expanding the reach of the initiative and bringing the public closer to the celebration of Brazilian music.
Activations and networking spaces reinforce the proposal for a more immersive experience, bringing the public closer to the universe of the awards and encouraging circulation between different generations of Brazilian music.
This format follows the change in the profile of major cultural awards, which begin to play a more active role in strengthening professional networks and circulating talent.
