Middle Eastern countries condemn new Iranian attacks in the region

Middle Eastern countries have criticized Iran’s latest series of retaliatory strikes against states in the region, which Tehran said were fired at US military targets.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have launched attacks against American bases in the region in the early hours of Wednesday (10). This followed previous US attacks on Tehran.

Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said it “condemns in the strongest terms” the Iranian attacks on Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait this Wednesday.

The attacks, according to the statement, “represent a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of these sister countries, and a very dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the entire region.”

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned what it described as “Iranian terrorist attacks against Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan” and offered the UAE’s full solidarity with the three countries.
