The Brazilian startup Comp, which builds AI solutions for HR, was chosen by the World Economic Forum to join the list of the 100 most promising technology companies of 2026, a group known as Technology Pioneers. The selection brings together startups from 23 countries considered capable of generating relevant impact in strategic sectors of the global economy.
According to the World Economic Forum, Comp “develops compensation management tools, salary benchmarking and merit cycles aimed at technology companies”. The company was the only representative from Brazil in the 2026 edition of the program.
The announcement was made this Wednesday (10), along with the announcement of the new class of Technology Pioneers. This year, the group reflects the advancement of technologies linked to artificial intelligence, energy, quantum computing, biotechnology, space and advanced manufacturing.

According to the Forum, many of the selected companies are building the infrastructure needed for the next generation of AI systems, including platforms for autonomous agents, power solutions for data centers and new computing architectures.
The 2026 edition also highlights the increasing decentralization of global innovation. The Forum highlighted the strengthening of technological ecosystems outside the traditional Silicon Valley hubs, with greater participation from countries such as India, South Korea and emerging markets in Latin America and the Middle East.
“For 26 years, the Technology Pioneers community has been an early indicator of where technology is headed,” said Verena Kuhn, head of Innovator Communities at the World Economic Forum. According to her, the difference in this edition is that early-stage startups are managing to face challenges that previously required large teams, robust infrastructure and much higher investments, driven by advances in artificial intelligence.
Those selected become part of a global community at the World Economic Forum and will participate in a two-year engagement program, contributing to discussions about innovation, technology and public policies.
