US President announces new escalation and targets Iranian oil infrastructure
US President Donald Trump warned this Thursday morning that the United States will hit Iran “very hard tonight”, at a time when the two countries continue to exchange attacks and peace negotiations remain blocked.
“The United States will hit Iran (whose Navy, Air Force, radars, anti-aircraft systems and all other forms of defense, along with most of its offensive capabilities, have disappeared!), VERY HARD TONIGHT”, .
Trump also stated that the United States will take control of Kharg Island and other Iranian oil infrastructure. The small island, located in the Persian Gulf, is a key part of Iran’s economy, as it exports around 90% of the country’s crude oil exports.
“In the not too distant future, we will take control of Kharg Island and other oil infrastructure, fully controlling its oil and gas markets, just as we did with Venezuela, which is working brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States of America,” he added.
