Former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) launched a campaign to encourage party supporters to act as volunteer poll workers and inspectors in this year’s elections. The mobilization was announced this Tuesday (9) in a post shared on Instagram with the profile of PL Mulher, of which she is president.
In the video, Michelle associates participation in the electoral process with strengthening voting transparency and states that the presence of volunteers can increase supervision during the election.
“I know you are worried about the transparency of the elections. To eliminate doubt, let’s act. Do you know how? Be a poll worker, volunteer or party inspector”, she declared. “You increase transparency, monitor the vote and gain benefits provided by law. At the end of the day, you will be able to say: ‘I protected the vote’. To be a poll worker, sign up for the TRE. To be a poll worker, volunteer for the Liberal Party.”
The publication’s caption says that women represent 52% of the Brazilian electorate, but have reduced participation in vote reception tables and electoral inspection teams. “This will change in 2026”, states PL Mulher, which called the mobilization “Operation V2 – Watch and Vote”.
Another post made jointly by PL Mulher and Michelle states that the first lady decided to encourage the participation of the right-wing public in monitoring the election and emphasizes that “men and women are invited”.
The initiative takes place on the party’s social networks and in radio and TV insertions. This week, in addition to PL, PT, PDS and União Brasil display free party propaganda, according to the rules of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).
As shown by Estadão Columninspection of the source code of electronic voting machines has been open to parties and public bodies since October 2025. In eight months, only União Brasil sent representatives to inspect the equipment. It is possible to do this up until a few days before the election, when the system is sealed.
The TSE began adopting the measure in 2021, during the government of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), who made several attacks without evidence against the voting system.
