O Italian consulate in Brazil had to be evacuated this Thursday (11) due to the presence of smoke in the building’s underground electrical networkin São Paulo. According to the Fire Department, There was no fire at the site.
According to firefighters, the smoke came from a compartmentalized well on Avenida Paulista1963, central region of the city. Enel was called to the site and cooled the underground chamber so that it was possible to access the site and assess possible repairs. According to the electricity company, the Electricity supply was interrupted for around 350 people.
Firefighters reported that there were no victimsnor any danger of it spreading to other locations.
