The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, denounced this Friday a “disinformation campaign” against negotiations to end hostilities between the United States and Iran, while confirming the existence of a “definitive and agreed text of the peace agreement” between the two countries.
“In the middle of the intensive mediation efforts being carried out by Pakistanwe are fully aware of the incessant misinformation campaign that is being carried out by those who wish sabotage the peace agreement“, he indicated on his social networks, where he echoed the words of the Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, by stating that “peace has never been closer than now”.
“Putting aside all that noise, we can confirm that a definitive and agreed text of the peace agreement and that Pakistan is now working on close collaboration with both parties to specify the next steps,” added the Pakistani chief executive in a brief message.
US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he was suspending allegedly planned attacks against Iran, alleging that, after carrying out “highest level talks” with Iranian officialsall parties have approved the “final points” of the agreement to end the war unleashed with the offensive by Israel and the United States against Iran more than three months ago.
Iran has limited itself to clarifying that “as soon as” the “competent” authorities have reached a conclusion on the negotiations, they will announce it, within the framework of the open negotiations –mediated by Pakistan– after the ceasefire reached on April 8, marked by recent attack exchanges.
