Lula completes radiotherapy treatment for scalp cancer

(Reuters) – President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said this Friday that he underwent the last session of radiotherapy this morning to treat early-stage skin cancer on the scalp.

The president stated, at an event to announce a credit line for app delivery people to finance new motorcycles, that he was at the Sírio-Libanês hospital and carried out the 15th session of the complementary and preventive treatment he had been undergoing.

‘I want to say that I’m fine,’ the president said at the event.

The president underwent ⁠15 two-minute sessions of radiotherapy, for two weeks, to prevent the appearance of new lesions, after having removed a small, early-stage lesion.
