39% attribute Pix’s success to BC, says survey

Real Time Big Data Research shows that 23% attribute the performance of the payment system to Bolsonaro; Lula is cited by 16%

Real Time Big Data survey released this Friday (June 12, 2026) shows that 39% of respondents believe that the Central Bank is mainly responsible for Pix’s success. Another 23% attribute the performance of the payments system to the former president (PL).

The president (PT) is mentioned by 16% of those interviewed, while (MDB) appears with 2%. Another 20% were unable to answer.

The company interviewed 1,500 people across the country, from June 10 to 11, 2026. The margin of error is 3 percentage points, plus or minus. The confidence level is 95%. Read the (PDF- 1.624 KB).

PIX APPROVAL

The study also measured Brazilians’ evaluation of Pix. Among the 78% who said they had already used the tool, 96% said they approved the service.

USA CRITICIZES PIX

The survey was carried out days after the United States government. The measure was presented after a commercial investigation concluded that Brazil adopts unfair commercial practices.

The USTR (Office of the United States Trade Representative) report cites Pix as one of the targets of the investigation. According to the agency, the country adopts public policies that favor the payment system and place North American companies in the sector in “disadvantage“. This is not the first time that the government of (Republican Party) criticizes Pix.

According to Real Time Big Data, 41% of Brazilians consider it possible that Donald Trump will take measures capable of ending Pix in Brazil. 37% rule out this possibility.

RISK OF FINISHING

Respondents were also asked about the possibility of the country being left without Pix if Lula is not re-elected. Among them, 49% said they did not see this risk. 38% say they consider this possibility, while 13% were unable to respond.
