Federal deputy Kim Kataguiri (Mission SP) announced a virtual fundraiser to finance personal security and an armored car during the 2026 electoral campaign. parliamentarian made public gestures that he will run for government of São Paulobut has not confirmed whether he will give up re-election to the Chamber of Deputies. In a video released on social media, Kataguiri justified the initiative by the risk that his political project poses to organized crime. “We are the only country project that threatens the PCC and Comando Vermelho. Therefore, in this goal of having sufficient resources to hire security and the armored car, I ask for your contribution to my fundraising”, he said.
The deputy acknowledged that in the previous two terms he gave up hiring securityeven though they can do so through the parliamentary quota. This time, however, he says he will not repeat the decision. “I will never promise to give up security again. With our own party and the pre-candidate for the presidency of the Republic on the rise, more than ever we are a real threat to organized crime”, he stated.
